Another Happy person
Despite a wet start to the summer the mayfly hatches were still abundant on most rivers, the trout and our fishermen took full advantage of this. May is always a wonderful time to be on the river when trout are usually more than willing to take your artificial fly. June and July continued to produce good catches in quite challenging weather conditions; as is the nature of chalkstreams the water remained almost always clear. When the weather finally settled in August and September the fishing simply couldn’t have been any better, with trout rising from the start of each day until dusk.

A Happy Henny!
For the 2008 season we are once again delighted to be offering private beats for groups or individuals on the rivers that truly are the home of dry fly fishing. These include the Test and its famous tributaries, and the Avon, Itchen, Nadder and Wylie. It is always advisable to book your chalkstream fishing early to maximise your choice, mid May to early June is always particularly busy.
Fishing on a chalkstream is an excellent and cost effective way of entertaining friends or business partners; a chance to relax, chat, enjoy the river and wildlife and of course to have an excellent lunch on the bank. A day for six guests would be in the region of £2,500 + VAT
