The river dropped 3” last night, the team set off at 9 a.m. this morning full of enthusiasm. By lunch time the eight rods had landed 56 salmon and 2 sea trout. A fabulous morning with the largest fish a fresh, silver 20lber to John Smith.

This afternoon we tried Moscoi Rapids but it still seems too high, so we went right up to Duck which was looking inviting. It proved to be just so and Michael James had five fish within a hour all on a skated ½” tube. Very exciting fishing and he was thrilled to have tried this highly visual method.

This evening I went up to see how Middle had got on, they too hjad had an excellent day although they found the wind on the upper beats quite tricky.

The water temperature this evening was 8ÂșC – just perfect. The forecast looks good.
